Pictron Media Gateway Content Manager provides a scalable, enterprise-wide content management architecture that integrates full-text indexing, automated media indexing, account management, security, workflow, media transformation, thumbnail previewing, and media distribution to meet the needs of global enterprises. Regardless of the content types, Pictron Media Gateway Content Manager provides automated "watch folder" capability to automatically import existing media assets. Metadata associated with each asset is extracted automatically and stored in database. Thumbnail image of each asset is automatically generated for fast previewing. User can select media profiles to specify the thumbnail resolution and additional proxy versions of the same asset for fast viewing and delivery.
Video content such as key frames based scene change detection (Video Gateway), text transcript based on speech recognition (Audio Gateway), and face identification based on face recognition (Image Gateway) is automatically extracted. Users with a standard Web browser can search and retrieve any media asset anywhere, anytime based on keywords, metadata, and full-text. Each asset is displayed in the browser as a thumbnail image for preview purpose. The actual media asset can be accessed through download or native applications. Users also have the option to format or convert media format before delivery.
